Accessibility statement

How accessible Bvisionry is, how we check it, and where it still falls short.

Last reviewed 24 Oct 2026

We aim for WCAG 2.1 level AA

Bvisionry is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, on the public site and in the signed-in app. We are not all the way there yet. The gaps we know about are listed below, so you know what to expect before you meet one.

How we test

Before each release, an automated suite opens the key public pages (the home page, pricing, sign-in, sign-up, the certificate check and this statement) and the main screens of the signed-in app in a real browser, and scans each one with axe-core against the WCAG 2.1 A and AA rules. A serious or critical finding stops the release.

Interface components are also checked one at a time while they are built, with the same engine, through Storybook's accessibility add-on.

Automated tools find only some of the barriers a person can meet, and lower-impact findings are recorded for review rather than stopping a release. This statement is based on that testing and on our own review of the product.

Known limitations

Videos have no captions or transcripts yet. That includes the product videos on this site and the lesson videos programs upload to their courses.

A few clips on the public site play by themselves, muted, with no controls. The looping product clips hold still if your device asks for reduced motion; the founder introductions on the About page play once either way, and cannot be paused or unmuted.

Videos embedded from YouTube or Vimeo in courses, tasks and assessment questions play in that provider's player, so their controls and captions are the provider's.

Courses, assessments and announcements written by your program are only as accessible as their authors make them: whether an image has a description, for example, is up to them.

Downloadable PDFs (reports, certificates and exports) are not tagged, so a screen reader may read them out of order.

Some charts in the signed-in app do not have a text alternative yet.
